David Katz
David Katz is a writer, journalist and the Chief Content Officer of The Hollywood Reporter.
Previously he served as the Articles editor and a writer for Esquire magazine in New York and has worked at Vanity Fair and Time Out magazines. He has written feature and cover profiles for GQ, Men’s Journal, Food & Wine and many others.
After adapting his book Things A Man Should Never Do Past 30 for CBS, David relocated to Los Angeles to work as a television writer. He was a staff writer for CBS’s Bleep My Dad Says starring William Shatner and TV Land’s The Soul Man starring Cedric The Entertainer and Niecy Nash. He has sold pilots to ABC, Warner Bros. and CBS. His documentary short The Kings of Christmas premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
David attended UC Berkeley, where he wrote a humor column and vowed never to work in journalism. Soon after he moved to New York and began working as a journalist. He lives in Los Angeles with Nichole and their son Everett.
